Supporting Women

I work with women through all aspects of life, including reproductive health

It’s your time.

Being a woman, do you sometimes feel as though you’re being pulled in every direction?

Are you constantly wondering whether you’re good enough — as a woman, sister, friend, wife, mum, aunt… the list goes on?

Perhaps you’re so busy looking after everyone else that you’ve lost sight of what you need.

Who do you turn to when things feel tough?

Do you find yourself playing down how you’re really feeling because you feel you should be grateful for everything you have?

Sometimes, it can be difficult to admit that things aren’t okay, particularly when everyone around you seems to think you’re coping.

Are you struggling with symptoms of perimenopause or menopause?

Perhaps you don’t feel like yourself anymore and you’re wondering whether what you’re experiencing could be connected to hormonal changes.

Maybe your symptoms don’t seem “bad enough” to warrant asking for help, or you’re simply trying to make sense of what is happening to you.

You don’t have to wait until things become overwhelming before you seek support.

Have you lost your baby?

Pregnancy and reproductive loss can be deeply painful and can affect you in ways that others may not understand.

Whether your loss was recent or many years ago, you may still be carrying feelings of grief, sadness, anger, guilt or simply a sense that something has changed.

You may have heard that you should be over it by now. There is no set timeframe for grief, and your experience deserves to be heard.

When was the last time you put you first?

Looking after yourself isn’t selfish.

When you spend so much of your time caring for others, it can be easy to put your own needs to one side. Over time, this can leave you feeling exhausted, disconnected from yourself or unsure of what you need.

We’re often told to put our own oxygen mask on first before helping others. There’s a reason for that.

You matter too.

If you recognise yourself in any of this, or you’re finding the stresses, strains and pressures of life difficult to manage, it may be helpful to talk to someone.

I offer a safe, warm and confidential space where you can talk openly, without judgement, and take some time to focus on you.

You don’t have to struggle alone.

Some of the women’s issues I support include:

  • Childhood sexual abuse

  • Perimenopause and menopause

  • Grief and loss

  • Pregnancy and reproductive loss, including miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy, stillbirth, neonatal loss and termination

  • Abusive or unhealthy relationships

  • Divorce and separation

  • Motherhood and the challenges of being a mum

  • Living with teenagers

  • Empty nest

  • Changes in identity and sense of self

  • Confidence and self-esteem

  • Boundaries and relationships

…and that’s just the beginning.

Every woman’s experience is different. You don’t need to fit neatly into a category to ask for support.
