I am a qualified supervisor, having completed a Level 6 Diploma in Supervision (NCPS Accredited). I offer supervision to both qualified and trainee counsellors, working with adults and young people.
I provide a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space where you can reflect on your practice, explore challenges and develop your confidence as a practitioner.
A collaborative approach
I believe supervision can be a collaborative and creative experience. It’s a space to recognise and build on the good practice you’re already doing, while also having the opportunity to explore anything that feels difficult, uncertain or challenging.
As your supervisor, my role is to encourage, guide and support you to develop your own style of working, whilst maintaining healthy professional boundaries and keeping the wellbeing of your clients at the heart of our work.
I work as an integrative supervisor, drawing on the Hawkins & Shohet seven-eyed model of supervision. I aim to put you at the heart of the supervision relationship, creating space for curiosity, reflection and exploration rather than simply telling you what to do.
I also believe there should be space to celebrate the things that are going well. Supervision isn’t only about identifying difficulties, it’s about recognising your strengths, developing your practice and supporting you as you grow as a counsellor.
Online and telephone counselling
The way counselling is delivered has changed significantly since Covid-19, with online and telephone work now forming an important part of many practitioners’ practice.
In 2023, I completed additional supervision training specifically focused on supporting counsellors who work online and/or provide telephone counselling. This has given me additional understanding of the particular considerations, opportunities and challenges that can arise when therapeutic work takes place remotely.
I offer supervision face-to-face in Knaresborough or online, and I’m happy to discuss what would work best for you.

Supervision fees
1:1 supervision: £80 for 1.5 hours or £60 for 1 hour.
Trainee counsellors: Fees can be discussed and agreed depending on your circumstances
