I provide a warm, confidential environment, where you have the opportunity to be listened to and to explore some of the difficulties you may be experiencing. I predominantly work with adult clients. I am passionate about supporting women through life's endeavours, however I also work with couples, and young people between the ages of 13 and 18.
I am an Accredited Professional Member of The National Counselling & Psychotherapy Society PNCPS (Acc.), and prior to embarking on my counselling journey worked as a qualified nurse and midwife. I am passionate about advocating for women and giving them a voice. I have also worked within the education system offering support to children and young adults for numerous years. This, coupled with my personal experience of counselling, prompted me to train as a counsellor.
[Since Coronavirus -19 impacted our lives, I moved to working online and completed online and telephone counselling training, approved by ACTO (Association for Counselling and Therapy Online) and recognised by the NCPS (National Counselling & Psychotherapy Society), this enabled me to work with you wherever you are in the UK which so many clients have benefitted from. I have since returned to working in person, so now offer either face to face or online sessions, whichever suits you and your circumstances.]

I've made a positive difference to many people's lives. Alongside my private practice, I previously worked with an organisation that counsels survivors of rape and sexual abuse, supporting both adults and young people under the age of 18. I also worked as a volunteer counselling in a sixth form college. Using my counselling skills, previous work experiences, my own lived experiences and life in general, enables me to work with you as an individual, focusing on your specific experiences and needs. Together we can explore the changes in your life that you want to make.
I am a member of a number of national organisations including National Counselling & Psychotherapy Society (NCPS). As an Accredited Professional of the NCPS I am bound by its Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy, and subject to the Professional Conduct Procedure for the time being in force. I also hold full Professional Liability Insurance and an enhanced DBS.
